New host family
Hey everyone!
Delaney curling my hair for Thanksgiving đ
I promise I haven't hibernated like a bear during winter even though it seems like it haha.. I've been pretty busy these last couple of days. So last week we had the musical shows, they all went pretty well which I'm thankful for. When Sunday came I was pretty tired of all the make-up and dress-ups though. But I'm so happy that I got to be a part of it and I've had a blast and met some really awesome people.
I also went and bought a new winter jacket from Abercrombie, I seriously can't resist their clothes.
On Sunday I also had to start packing because I was switching host families (!!). I was excited to see how it was living with another family but at the same time I was sad leaving the Driskills. But I can still go visit them which is nice and reassuring.
So right now I'm living with my friend Delaney and her family. So far I've had a great time and I'm sure it will continue that way.
This week we only had school on Monday and Tuesday, weeehoo! On Tuesday Delaney, Darian and I went and saw Catching Fire, suuuch a great movie! I seriously loved it and now I'm getting super excited for the new Hobbit movie!
On Wednesday Delaney and I worked out for a bit and then later in the evening some friends came over. We ate pizza, went hot-tubbing, played cards and guitar hero. Fun fun fun!
I'll make another post and tell y'all about my Thanksgiving later!
See ya soon!

Heavy wings grow lighter
Hello everyone!
At the moment the family and I are watching Downton Abbey, it's sort of our tradition when we're not actually busy.
The weeks just keep rushing by and all the pretty Christmas lights are getting put up around town. It's such a pretty sight, I'll have to take pictures when everything is done.
The musical rehearsals this week have been fun! Matt, Alison and I were playing the game were one person draws the head of a person on a paper and then folds it down so the others can't see and then another draws the body and so on. I laughed so hard that I was crying when I saw the results haha!
Yesterday I had a Rotary district meeting where they were interviewing the exchange students heading out next year. It was a lot of fun to meet some of the people I met at orientation! Later that day Andrea, Taylor and I saw Thor. I liked it a lot and Thor is so dreamy! đ After that Andrea and I went back to her house and made cupcakes, yum! Peyton came over a bit later and joined in when we were doing sugar cookies. The result of the cookies weren't as good as we hoped, but oh wekl. We started watching the first Harry Potter movie but we all fell asleep haha.
Today I've skyped with my family, done my drawing homework, gone for a walk and then we went out to eat at Chili's.
This week is gonna be packed! I have rehearsal Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and then the premiere is on Thursday! And we have shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'm gonna be exhausted by the time Sunday arrives but it'll be fun!
Have a nice day y'all!
Chilly
Hello again!
I can't believe it's already Wednesday tomorrow, Thanksgiving break is coming in fast, nice! Last Friday it was my last BHS football game (sad). We had to beat the other team with 17 points to make it to playoffs, unfortunatley we lost...
I have spent the whole weekend at Maddie's house and I had a blast! On Saturday we were shopping all day together with her sister and mom. I bought a new hoodie from abercrombie (surprised?) and ate a huuuge cookie cake slice. I would probably have had to run 240 km to burn those calories haha!
On Sunday we just took it easy and hung out.
This week I have a lot of stuff at school; I have musical rehearsal every day until 7 pm and a bunch of homework and tests. But I just have to get through it!
I also forgot to mention that last Thursday some bmx, inlines and skateboard riders came to our school to have a performance. They were amazing and they've been on the x games!
Wurstfest
Today everyone in German had the chance to go to the Wurstfest in New Braunfels. They were selling a lot of food and I bought a sausage on a stick and fried oreos. Fried oreos sound gross but they were dddelicios (and unhealthy!) They also had a lot of other fun foods but they had some rides you could go on so I figured I shouldn't eat too much. We wouldn't have wanted an accident, would we? I also got the chance to meet some new people from school which was great. :)
They had this really cool ride where you stood in a big cylinder and leaned against the wall. The cylinder would start spinning really fast and it would feel like gravity was pushing on you harder than usual. You didn't need to have your feet on the floor because the gravity was holding you up and you could barely lift your arms.
We got back to school in time for 4th period and after school I had rehearsal. I was talking a lot to the spanish exchange student, it's nice because we both understand what the other one is going through.
I got my new shoes yesterday, so excited!! đđ
Already November
Hola amigos!

The weekend is already over but it was still pretty good. Saturday morning I went on my 5 km run and then I just kind of hung out at home until 4 pm. At 4 Andrew picked me up and we went to the Wild Dinner Game at the fairgrounds as volunteer workers. At the Wild Game Dinner you could try a lot of different foods like crocodile, types of antilope and so on, which was pretty neat. I was working as a server and I was serving the seafood pasta. I thought it was sort of fun and I was saying a lot of "yes ma'am", "yes sir", "here you go m'am" and so on, because that's what you do here to be polite.
A little before 8 pm my friend Maren picked me up and we met up with Taylor and Hunter at the movie theatre. We were supposed to see Bad Grandpa but we couldn't get in so we saw Gravity (again for my part) but it was good the second time around too.
On Sunday I went for another jog. And suddenly my host mom got a call from grandma and she had to take her to the hospital. She had had a mini stroke so we were all very worried but it was good that it wasn't too serious.
She's back home now but she's just really tired, the doctor said she will probably make a full recovery which is a relief.
I just felt really weird the whole Sunday; I felt kind of tired and empty so it was a bad day. I took a walk later in the evening though and it got a little better.
School today was fine, we had a math project/presentation that was due. My group and I kind of put it together at the last minute so it wasn't great haha. But we had a good laugh!

Halloween
Yesterday was Halloween! đđ»
In the morning my friend Delaney picked me up and we had breakfast together with Taylor in town. After that we were off to school and ready to get some knowledge haha (or not).
After school the family and I went to grandma's house where they were going to have a little Halloween party and celebrate grandma's birthday.
I didn't stay for very long though cause Maddie and her mom picked me up and took me to their house. I ate there and then they convinced me to go trick-or-treating together with her siblings. I'm actually really glad I did! A lot of memories came back from the time I was younger and living in the US and went trick-or-treating.
It was nice to sort of relive it again, and I got a lot of candy!
When we got home I went straight to bed cause I was exhausted!
Today I've just been to school and after that I went to the gym. I just got hom from watching Captain Phillips with the fam. That movie was really intense!!
And I just want to say happy birthday to Nicklas! I hope you're doing okay. We all miss you.
Goodnight y'all!
